毎年10-11月には、全世界のクラシック音楽界で広くユニークな活動をしている音楽家たちが、 韓国の首都ソウルにやって来ます。皆さんに、すてきなコラボレーション、ワールドプレミア、 古典作品の新しい理解など、評論家から絶賛を受けた作品をプレゼントします。

音楽の楽しみを共に分かち合う、喜びに満ちたソウル国際音楽祭は、皆さんが楽しめる、決して見逃せないイベントです。

Conductor Ralf Gothóni

Gothóni appears regularly both as a soloist and conductor, conducting often from the keyboard. He has premiered more than a dozen piano concertos (Tavener, Sallinen, Rautavaara, Curtis-Smith, Glick, Segerstam etc) and as a conductor he worked a.o. as the principal conductor of the English Chamber Orchestra in 2001-2009 and as the musical director of Northwest Chamber Orchestra in Seattle. In 2004 he was appointed as the guest conductor of Deutsche Kammerakademie. As chamber musician he performs regularly at the important festivals.

Horn Radovan Vlatković

One of the leading instrumentalists of his generation, Radovan Vlatković has travelled the globe performing extensively as a soloist and popularising the horn as recording artist and teacher. He is the recipient of many first prizes at the Premio Ancona and the ARD International Music Competition and many others. He has received the German Critics Award for several of his discs. His numerous recordings include Mozart and Strauss Concertos with the English Chamber Orchestra and Jeffrey Tate, Saint-Saens’s works with the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris and Jean-Jacques Kantorow, among others.

In 2014, Vlatković was awarded an Honorary Membership of the Royal Academy of Music, an honour bestowed upon only 300 distinguished musicians worldwide.

Soprano Sunhae Im

Soprano Sunhae Im graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in vocal music (Prof. Park) and was selected as a DAAD scholarship student at the German Academic Exchange Agency and graduated from the top performance course at Karlsruhe National University of Music in Germany.

Recently, she released complete collection of songs [Erwin Schulhoff], presented for the first time in the world, which was co-produced by south and west Broadcasting Corporation of German, and she awarded 2021 ‘German Record Critics’ Award’.

Soprano Myungjoo Lee

MyungJoo Lee has been singing internationally on both concert and opera stages, since 2004. She has been heard in the United States at Carnegie Hall, in Japan, China and across Europe at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Prinzregenten Theater in Munich where the German newspaper "Abendzeitung" twice named her “Star of the Week” [Der Stern der Woche].

She made her UK debut at London’s Royal Albert Hall as Cio Cio San(Madama Butterfly) a role she also sung in Hong-Kong and will reprise in Canada next season.

Mezzo Soprano Jungmi Kim

Mezzo soprano Kim Jung-mi acquired Diplom from the Italian Cenna Cigiana Academy and graduated from the National Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy.

She won several international competitions, including No. 2 at the 30th Central Competition, No. 1 and Special Award at the Alcamo International Competition, and No. 2 at the 64th Geneva International Competition in Switzerland, imprinted her name on the European stage. He continues to be active as concert artists such as orchestra Mozart [Liquiem], Handel [Messia], and French Metz Orchestra Mozart [Cminor Misa] and is also striving to train juniors as adjunct professors at Kookmin University.

Tenor Oliver Kook

Tenor Oliver Kook, who interprets music intelligently and has a variety of colors, graduated Yonsei University with a BA in voice. He finished his postgradual studium at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Kook won the prestigious Geneva International Music competition and the Marseille International Opera Competition. He was also invited to perform with an orchestra at the Carnegie Hall in New York, Wiener Konzerthaus, The Hermitage Theatre in Russia, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, and the Suntory Hall. Kook traveled the world and continued to build his flourishing reputation as a opera singer. He performed at the Theater Regensburg as the role of Pollione from Norma by Bellini, which was a successful debut.

Bass Samuel Youn

Bass-Baritone Samuel Youn received his first vocal training in his hometown Seoul and completed his studies at the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milano and at the Conservatory Cologne. He won several prizes in various international competitions. He toured Europe as well as Asia, where he performed major roles of his broad operatic and concert repertoire. He worked with like Zubin Metha, Christian Thielemann, Pierre Boulez, Semyon Bychkov, Markus Stenz, Peter Ruzicka, Philippe Jordan, Ralf Weikert, Will Humburg, Pinkas Steinberg.

Cello Arto Noras

Arto Noras, Founder and Artistic Director of the Naantali Music Festival and the International Paulo Cello Competition, is one of Finland’s most celebrated performers and the world’s most outstanding cellists. He is known as an expressive and technically brilliant soloist as well as an intense and sensitive chamber musician. In 2013, he performed at Casals Festival in Prades and at BBC Proms. He gave premieres of two compositions by Krystoff Penderecki: Concerto doppio per violin, viola e orchestra in Noras’ own arrangement, and the Suite for Cello Solo. Also, he performed at 80th Birthday celebration Gala for Penderecki. He played Penderekci’s Concertto grosso for three cellos with the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 2013. He gave the premiere of Kalevi Aho’s Second Cello Concerto with Lahti Symphony under Osma Vanska in 2014.

Cello Dmitry Kouzov

A versatile performer, cellist Dmitry Kouzov has performed worldwide with orchestras, in solo and duo recitals, and in chamber music performances. He has appeared with such orchestras as the St. Petersburg Symphony (Russia), as well as National Symphony of Ukraine, and the South Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic (Czech Republic), to name a few. He has awarded First Prize at the International Beethoven Competition in the Czech Republic and he is a two-time laureate of the International Festival-Competition “Virtuosi of the Year 2000” in Russia and is winner of the New York Cello Society Rising Star Award. His credits include numerous performances at many prominent concert venues throughout his native Russia, including both St. Petersburg Philharmonic Halls, the conservatoire halls of Moscow and St. Petersburg, respectively, and the Mariinsky Theater. Mr. Kouzov made his New York orchestral debut at Alice Tully Hall in 2005, under the baton of Maestro Raymond Leppard. Since that time, he has also made recital appearances in New York at 92nd Street Y and Bargemusic.

Cello Torleif Thedéen

Cello Young Song

Young Song, is arguably the most sought after cellist in his native Korea who combines a perfect technique and a warm sensibility. He has performed to critical acclaim with orchestras and in solo recitals, toured extensively as a chamber musician and as a guest principal with numerous renowned orchestras. Young made his debut at age 9 with the Seoul Philharmonic and received the Seoul Mayor’ Scholarship which enabled him to continue his studies at Juilliard’s pre-college division, and at the Royal Northern College of Music in the U.K. Young has not only appointed by Korean Cultural Ambassador in 2002 for represented Korean classic music artists also he performed at 60 countries with 200 cities as a Korean Cultural Ambassador. He is up to his reputation that Korea’s especial Cellist. From 2012, He is currently a professor at Kyung Hee University Music Dept. in South Korea.

Cello Claudio Bohórquez

A German-born cellist of Peruvian descent is one of the most popular musicians in his field. Claudio Borquez, a disciple of Boris Fergamenskov, succeeded at an early age in international competitions such as the Tchaikovsky Youth Competition in Moscow and the Rostropovich Cello Competition in Paris.

It won three awards at the first Pablo Casals Competition hosted by the Kronberg Academy in 2000. Marta Casals Eastomin had Claudio Boholquez use the first prize, the chamber music special award, and Casals' Gofriller cello for two years. He also won first place at the International Music Competition in Geneva, which marked the beginning of his career as a soloist. He served as a professor at Stuttgart School of Music from 2011 to 2016 and was appointed to Hans Eisler at the Berlin School of Music in September 2016 and has been a visiting professor since 2003.

Cello Minji Kim

Kim was the only Korean to be invited to perform and to receive scholarship from the Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermannin and took second place at the Premio arturo Bonucci International Cello Competition and Grand Prix at the Hudson Valley String Competition, New England Conservatory String Competition, and HAMS International cello competition. She also received first prize and the special award for commissioned work for Irving M Klein International String Competition and she was a semi-finalist at the Rostropovich Cello Competition and Naumberg competition.

Minji Kim used Jean Baptiste Vuillaume cello on loan from the instrument bank of Ravinia Festival Stean’s institute. She was assistant principal of Orchestra Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Spain under Lorin Mazzel, principal of Seoul Art Center Festival Orchestra and the professor at Keimyung University. Currently, she is an active member of Kumho Asiana Soloist, Cellista Cello Ensemble and the professor at Seoul National University since 2018

Cello Maja Bogdanović

Hailed by The Strad after her Carnegie Hall recital for “an outstanding performance of exceptional tonal beauty, great maturity of interpretation, and technical excellence”, Maja Bogdanovic continues to reward audiences worldwide as one of the leading cellists of today.
Ms. Bogdanovic’s concerto engagements include Tonhalle Orchester Zurich, Berlin Symphony at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Tokyo Philharmonic, Bremerhaven Staatsorchester, Bergische Philharmonie, Slovenian, Belgrade and Macedonian Philharmonic, Orchestra del Teatro Civico Schio, Lubbock Symphony, Spokane Symphony, Munchenner kammerorchester, Sydenham Festival Orchestra, Serbian Radio Symphony, Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Korean Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra, Salta Symphony Orchestra, Morelia Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Bartholomew Orchestra London, Vojvodina Symphony, Orchestre des Laureats du Conservatoire de Paris, Orchestre de Chambre Nouvelle Europe as well as chamber orchestras Dusan Skovran, St. George Strings and the Sejong Soloists

Cello Woolee Jang

Cello Isang Enders

Born into a German-Korean musician family in Frankfurt in 1988, Isang began studying with Michael Sanderling at the age of twelve. His playing has since been influenced by his studies with Gustav Rivinius, Truls Mørk, and above all, by the mentoring of the cellist Lynn Harrell. Isang was appointed principal cello of the Dresden Staatskapelle at the age of twenty, making him the youngest section leader in Germany. After four years with the orchestra, however, Isang decided to embark on a solo career and resigned from his position with the orchestra. Upcoming projects include performances at Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, the Beethovenfest in Bonn and the recording of all cello works by Hans Werner Henze with the WDR Sinfonieorchester. With the Sitkovetsky Trio he continues the Beethoven cycle with the label BIS with whom he got awarded the Diapason d’Or ARTE. Isang’s latest album VOX HUMANA received the OPUS Klassik Award.

Cello Andrei Ioniță

Andrei Ioniță won First Prize at the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition, and prizes at the ARD, Feuermann and Khachaturian competitions. He was a BBC New Generation Artist from 2016-18 and is the Symphoniker Hamburg’s 2019/20 artist-in-residence.

Andrei recently gave recitals at Carnegie Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Elbphilharmonie and Zurich Tonhalle; as well as at the Verbier and Martha Argerich Festivals. Forthcoming chamber dates include collaborations with Stephen Hough, Cédric Tiberghien and Kian Soltani at the Wigmore Hall and Pierre Boulez Saal.
